Painting on canvas is the most popular art form in our studio, and is also the most challenging. Filling a blank canvas can be a daunting task and our art teacher holds the students to a high standard. The goal is for the painting to reveal each student’s individuality and soul, regardless of her level of traditional “artistic ability.” Over time, resistance to revealing themselves eases and they embrace the challenge of expressing their emotions, personalities and perceptions through painting.
